Information about learner sessions in the Proctor's room
-
Screen broadcasting hasn't started yet – The learner session has started, and the system check has been completed, but the video stream has not begun. The learner may still be in the process of taking a photo.
-
Camera access is denied – No system-level access to the camera. The learner should check if camera access is enabled in the browser or computer settings.
-
Camera is off or out from order – The camera is physically disconnected. If it is not a built-in camera, the learner should check the physical connection to the computer. If it is already connected, they should unplug and reconnect it or try a different port.
-
Screen capture access is denied – The learner may have clicked "Stop sharing" or screen access may be disabled in the computer settings.
-
Internet connection is unstable – The internet connection is unstable, but the learner is still online.
-
Cannot ping test taker – No response from the learner.
-
Only a black square/screen is visible – Unexpected error. The proctor should try refreshing the page. If this does not help, refer to this article.
-
Black screen with a loading element – This does not necessarily indicate a technical issue on the learner's end; they could be in the photo-taking phase or may have stepped away to retrieve a document for photographing. If this persists for too long, the proctor is advised to contact the learner to check their status.
