Secure Browser

The Secure Browser provides a controlled testing environment with enhanced exam integrity. It extends the WebApp by adding lockdown features and bypassing browser limitations.

What it is

A downloadable desktop application (Windows, macOS) that launches the WebApp in a secure environment.

Key characteristics

  • Requires installation before the exam.

  • Enables lockdown features depending on selected security mode.

  • Bypasses browser limitations (e.g., iFrame restrictions).

  • Customizable similarly to WebApp.

  • Works in restricted environments (e.g., where Chrome is blocked).

When to use it

  • Exam integrity requirements are high.

  • LMS does not support embedded proctoring.

  • Learners are in restricted regions (e.g., China).
