All about assigning proctors to learners

How are learners assigned to proctors?

During Live-reviewed exams, learners are systematically assigned to proctors based on the room.

Consider a scenario where we have proctors numbered for illustration as follows: №1, №2, №33, and №67. Each proctor is allocated their own designated room where learners will be directed.

The allocation process is structured as follows:

- The first learner is assigned to proctor(room) №1.
- The second learner is assigned to proctor(room) №2.
- The third learner is assigned to proctor(room) №33.
- The fourth learner is assigned to proctor(room) №67.
- The fifth learner is again assigned to proctor(room) №1.
- The sixth learner is assigned to proctor(room) №2, and so forth.

Note: customization of learner assignment to a specific proctor is not currently feasible. This limitation is upheld to ensure the integrity and impartiality of learner evaluation by proctors. Therefore, the optimal approach involves proctors not having prior knowledge of the learners they assess, thus maintaining a fair and unbiased evaluation process.

What happens to learners if a proctor is disconnected during an exam due to internet problems?

Learners will be distributed among the other available proctors seamlessly, the learner will not notice the switch. If there are no available proctors, learners will be kept out of the rooms (this will not affect their exams, the exam will continue) until proctors are available.

How is it possible to link a proctor to different exams taking place at the same time?

Currently there is no way to directly link a learner to a specific proctor for an exam, the function is in the planning stage.

How to add a new proctor during the exam?

A company administrator can create a proctor account in Administrators part of the Dashboard. Click the link below to find out how to do it:

How to assign a proctor to a particular exam?

It is not yet technically possible to customize the assignment of a proctor to a particular exam. If two or more exams from the same company are scheduled at the same time, proctors will be randomly assigned to them.
