How to turn off firewall on MacOS

If you have problems passing the system check, it is recommended to temporarily disable the firewall (only for the duration of the test and system check). This recommendation is due to the fact that the firewall can block the connection to the server, which affects the passing of the system check or broadcasting the video stream during the exam.

To disable firewall, follow these steps:

    1. Open Apple menu > System Preferences:

    2. Go to Security & Privacy:

    3. Go to the “Firewall” tab and click Turn off Firewall:

If the Turn off firewall button is inactive, then you must first click on the lock icon at the bottom of the window to unlock it:

You will need to confirm the action by entering the password for the system account and clicking Unlock:

Note: After completing the exam, do not forget to turn the firewall back on.
