If you have a Lenovo computer, there is a good chance that the camera check problem is caused by Lenovo's proprietary software.
To fix it, try the following steps:
- Click Start.
- Type in Lenovo. Either Lenovo Vantage, Lenovo Settings, or Lenovo ThinkVantage Tools should appear in the list as an installed app.
- Open the suggested app.
Lenovo Vantage
- Go to Hardware Settings > Audio/Video.
- Scroll down to "Camera Privacy Mode" and turn it off.
Lenovo Settings
- Click on Camera.
- Select "Normal" mode instead of "Private/Confidential".
Lenovo ThinkVantage Tools
- Select "Web Conferences" from the menu.
- After the Communications Utility opens, click Show my video image.
After taking these steps, restart your browser and try opening the exam again – the Constructor Proctor system check should now be passed without camera issues.
