Prepare your computer

Ensure your computer is prepared for the proctoring session in advance:

• Make sure your computer meets minimum technical requirements;
• Grant permissions in system settings (macOS, Windows);
• Ensure tour browser is supported and up to date;
• Turn on cookies in your browser to avoid problems opening the exam;
• For stable speeds, connect to the Internet directly using a cable;
• Optimize your browser performance by closing unnecessary tabs and programs. Use a single browser for the best test experience;
• Check your webcam and microphone by using online services to ensure they are working;
• Unplug your second monitor and headphones if you use them.

Test your computer

Constructor Proctor system check allows you to make sure that your device is ready for the proctored exam – that your webcam and microphone work and your browser is allowed to record your screen.

Although any exam with Constructor Proctor always begins with a system check, it is recommended to pass a system check a day before the exam. It will save your time and nerves during the real exam.
