Constructor LMS Release 98

Overview

We've introduced these new features to enhance certificate implementation for courses:

  • Integration with Credly

  • Multiple certificates issuance upon completing courses

  • Reports on certificates

Additionally, we have implemented several fixes and improvements to enhance user experience.

Integration with Credly

Administrators can now integrate Credly with our platform and add Credly badges and certificates to certificate templates in LMS. Such templates can be assigned to courses or programs. When certificates are awarded to users, they are automatically synced with Credly, appearing on the user's Credly profile.

Multiple certificates issuance upon completing courses

Instructors can now configure courses or programs to issue multiple certificates upon completion. Certificates can be created within our platform or through external services, like Credly. Each certificate can have its own set of conditions. After completing a course or program, users can view and share these certificates directly from the course or program page. External certificates link to their respective details page on the external service.

Reports on certificates

Instructors and managers now can see in primary and custom reports the number of certificates awarded for each course and program. The Primary report displays for Passed and Completed courses a separate record for every certificate issued for a user. Such records include the following information on the certificate template:

  • Name

  • Code

  • Type (custom or external, for example, Credly)

  • Issue date

  • Expiry date

  • Clickable Unique code or ID: clicking on the ID provides access to the full certificate information and a preview.

Improvements and fixes

Improvements

  • Show all attempts in Assessment. Instructors can now view information on all attempts of a learner for a specific activity in the Assessment interface. This allows them to perform various actions on these attempts, such as grading, finishing, or revoking, not limited to just the last attempt.

  • Branding for Constructor University in Bremen. We have introduced a more customized branding solution for Constructor University, which aligns our LMS more closely with the University's brand book.

  • Undo, redo and manual saving in the Certificate template editor. We have introduced manual saving for the Certificate templates editor to prevent accidental changes when a certificate is in use. Users need now press Save to apply changes to a certificate template. Additionally, up to 15 actions can be undone using the undo icon or the shortcut CTRL+Z (CMD+Z). To redo an action, users can use the shortcut CTRL+Y (CMD+Y).

Fixes

  • Tablet screen breakpoints. Tablets now have the same content representation, to save screen space and to be able to show more content to user and to improve navigation and overall UX.

  • Favicons are now correctly shown for Safari users.

  • Average scores in Reports are calculated correctly.

  • In the course editor, spaces in toggled sections are now shown.

  • All revoked attempts are correctly shown in Assessment with a Revoked=true value and are included in calculation of total attempts.

  • In the course editor, a correct layout is shown when previewing the About the course page.

  • Course status in grading is now correctly shown to learners.

  • For the Open catalog of courses, search works in any collection, no matter what collection is chosen.

Known issues

  • A new toggle cannot be created within a toggle.

  • New members cannot be added to a newly created team without refreshing the screen.

  • The date and time selector sometimes does not fit on the screen in Reports.

  • When signing out from Avatar, a user is not signed out from LMS.
